Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and beginning her career as a stand-up comedian, she has a style and attitude all her own. April uses that to captivate and inspire audiences across the country.
As a survivor of domestic violence, she has become spokeswoman for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and a nationally recognized activist and social entrepreneur. Her Hollywood fame has provided a platform to connect with people of all walks to speak into their lives to inspire hope, strength and bold faith. April knows the power of her voice and empowers our youth to understand theirs. Encouraging them to always remember their voice is their choice.
